Youth 5th-8th Grade Confirmation Classes
Confirmation is an important step in a young person’s faith journey, building upon the foundation laid at Baptism. Our program is designed to deepen students’ understanding of Lutheran doctrine and prepare them for adult membership in the church.
- Grades: 5th-8th
- Schedule: Wednesday evenings from September through April, 6:00 PM – 7:15 PM
- Key Program Aspects:
- Faith Development: Rooted in baptism and nurtured through regular worship attendance and Bible study.
- Education: Weekly classes (Wednesdays, 6:00 PM – 7:15 PM) cover Lutheran teachings and Bible study.
- Worship Participation: Students are encouraged to be active in worship services through various roles.
- Prayer and Fellowship: Emphasis on developing a strong prayer life and building relationships within the church community.
- Stewardship: Students are encouraged to serve the church and community, putting their faith into action.
- Parental Involvement: Parents play a crucial role in their child’s faith development, including assisting with homework and devotions.
Through confirmation, we aim to equip our young people with a solid foundation in Lutheran theology, encourage personal faith development, and foster a sense of belonging within our church community. This process prepares them for a lifetime of faith and service in the church. View this year’s confirmation handbook and schedules below.
