Pastor Russell Allan Reed

Pastor Russell Allan Reed brings a wealth of experience and a passion for ministry to Immanuel Lutheran Church. His journey in pastoral service began in 1991 when he started his seminary training at Concordia Seminar in St. Louis. After his graduation, he completed his vicarage at Faith Lutheran in Towner, ND.

Pastoral Experience

Ordained and installed as pastor of St. John’s Lutheran in Britton, SD in 1995.
Served St. John’s Lutheran for over 10 years.
Served two vacancies at Zion (Andover, SD) and Peace (Hecla, SD).
Elected Circuit Counselor of the Aberdeen Circuit in 2000, a position held until joining Immanuel.
Accepted the call to serve at Immanuel Lutheran in December 2005.

Pastor Reed’s ministry is characterized by his dedication to teaching God’s Word and nurturing the faith of his congregation.

He is married to Sherry, and together, they have been blessed with three children and six grandchildren. When not serving his congregation, Pastor Reed enjoys expressing his creativity through drawing, painting, and theatre.
